Hi everyone,

I wanted to share some good news. Last week, the House passed the Immunization
Infrastructure Modernization Act of 2021, legislation that would help states
modernize their Immunization Information Systems. Upgrading these important
public health databases would lead to better enrollment and training of vaccine
providers, secure communication between patients and providers, and more
efficient management of vaccine supply.

If you’re in favor of improving our nation’s vaccine infrastructure to better
prepare our health system for future public health emergencies, please consider
making a recurring donation to my campaign so I can continue to support
legislation like this that directly benefits our community.

Throughout the pandemic, we saw public health departments and health care
providers struggle with their immunization information systems. For example,
many people got their Covid-19 vaccine at a place other than their regular
doctor's office. In that case, the vaccine databases used by public health
databases could not talk with their electronic health record maintained by
their doctor. TheImmunization Infrastructure Modernization Act would help
identify gaps among immunization provides, enhance data exchange
interoperability, and improve the security of data collection. I can’t
emphasize enough how important this is to ensure that vaccines are being
administered effectively across the country.

This would be a monumental step to getting our country vaccinated and back to
health.

Your support is what allows me to keep pushing for measures that will help us
Build Back Better from the pandemic and prepare us for the future. I’m honored
to receive it. If you can chip into my campaign, please do so by clicking this

I will continue to work to ensure that my Democratic colleagues and I are able
to persuade our coworkers across the aisle that this is more than necessary. It
is my hope and goal that we’ll see progress soon in the Senate!

Yours,

Doris
