Dear John,
As the seasons turn and 2021 comes to a close, it’s important – especially during challenging times – that we take a moment to reflect, give thanks, and celebrate the things we’re able to.
First, we extend to you our thanks. Without the support of people like you, Farm Aid would not be able to continue our mission to build a vibrant, family farm-centered system of agriculture in America. We’re thankful too, that, as Willie Nelson said, family farmers have endured and that we were able to gather together again in celebration of everything they do for us and our communities at the Farm Aid festival in Hartford, Connecticut, this September.
When we reflect upon the stories we heard from farmers there, as well as throughout the year, we’re reminded that we all have a right to good food and the ability to grow it in ways that protect and sustain the soil, water and climate we all share. Food and farming connect us to one another and the land around us in profound and inspiring ways. That too, is worth celebrating.
In the spirit of this giving season, we ask that you consider a gift – even a small amount makes a real difference – to support our essential family farmers. [[link removed]]
Since 1985, Farm Aid has stood with family farmers to keep them on the land, growing the good food we depend on, and has advocated for fair farm policies that promote resiliency, sustainability, equity and diversity across our food system.
Farm Aid will continue to be there for our essential family farmers, and we hope you will, too [[link removed]].
Thanks and Happy Holidays,
Farm Aid
