Your holiday cards may be showing up in January this year...and that's not just because someone forgot to send them, the mail really does continue to get slower and slower.
It’s not just about late holiday cards. Mail delays mean that people who rely on the USPS to deliver their prescriptions go days without medicine, and seniors struggle to pay their bills as they wait on their Social Security checks.
That’s why Katie’s been calling out Postmaster DeJoy for his mismanagement of the USPS since 2020—starting with an Oversight Committee hearing in which Mr. DeJoy couldn’t tell Katie what it cost to mail a postcard. And in another hearing this fall, Katie used her whiteboard to show how much slower the mail has gotten. While in the spring of 2020, 92% of mail was delivered on time, by winter of 2021 that number dropped to 61%.
