Hi John, I’m Shirin Ahmed. Junaid and I have been married for 21 years and I’ve been his better half since we first met in college (just joking 😄).

When Junaid first started thinking about running for Congress, I was so excited to see him continue fighting for what he believes in. I also knew it could be a whirlwind of ups and downs. Achieving something like this is never easy.

But everything we’ve done in our life, we’ve done as a team. Together, we’ve raised four beautiful children, Yusrah, Aminah, Ibrahim, and Jannah.

When I decided to go back to school in 2020 to get my masters in Clinical Psychology, Junaid couldn’t have been more supportive.

And through this entire journey of late night fundraising calls, talking to voters, and attending community events, Junaid still finds time to be a father our family needs.

No matter what lies ahead, we will be there with Junaid every step of the way.
