[1]Tammy Duckworth

Friends -

I am writing to ask if you would please consider splitting a contribution between Tammy Duckworth’s re-election in Illinois, and mine in Arizona.

This is an FEC deadline month, and when it’s over we’re legally required to report our fundraising numbers and a bad report could invite a lot more outside spending against each of us.

If that’s all you need to hear, great:

Please use this link to split a contribution to both of our re-election campaigns today.

Otherwise, let me explain.

Both Tammy and I come from working-class backgrounds. Both of my parents were union members when they were part of our town’s Police Department. My mom was injured in the line of duty and forced to retire.

I also know that Tammy’s father lost his job when his company was sold and their family wouldn’t have made it without help.

We’re also both veterans.

And from the day I was sworn into the Senate, I’ve admired, up-close, Tammy’s tireless advocacy for veterans and the working people of Illinois, Arizona, and this country.

The Senate is better with Tammy Duckworth. But she needs our help to win re-election:

Please split a contribution between Tammy Duckworth’s re-election campaign in Illinois and my re-election in Arizona. Do it before our FEC deadline comes to an end and we’re legally required to report our numbers.

Thank you in advance for contributing. It means a lot to both of us.

Mark Kelly
