In two short months, the student debt payment pause will end, and 43 million Americans will be required to start making payments. With so many people still under financial hardship due to the pandemic, now is the time to cancel all student debt and transform the education system of this nation.

Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley is absolutely correct.

"Failure to act would be unconscionable and so we must move with urgency as we continue the work of building a just and equitable recovery from the current economic crisis. Broad-based, across the board permanent student-debt cancellation must remain front and center. The people — the broad and diverse coalition that elected President Biden — demand, deserve, and require nothing less."

With a stroke of the pen, student debt can be canceled. ALL OF IT.

The false argument that student debt cancellation will benefit the wealthy is absurd, and Congresswoman Alexadria Ocasio-Cortez fired back here: [link removed].

The American people gave Democrats the power of the House, the Senate and the White House with the optimistic expectation that the leaders they elected would implement a bold, progressive agenda that lifts working families.

Now is the time to act. Progressives are pushing for immediate action on student debt cancellation before payments resume on January 31, 2022 and they need your help.
