As I reflect on the past year, there's one word that comes to mind: grateful.
I’m grateful for my family and friends who supported me when I decided to begin this political journey.
I’m grateful that my friend Ya’ara Saks and I walked into the House of Commons together becoming the 99th and 100th women MPs to do so.
I’m grateful for our incredible team of Liberal volunteers and supporters. Throughout this challenging year – you have been there. Thanks to your dedication and hard work we were able to connect with so many Canadians during the last election and receive a third mandate for Justin Trudeau and our Liberal government.
November’s Speech from the Throne outlined the next steps, and there is much to look forward to in the new year.
Together, we’ll build a greener future for all of our kids, grow a more resilient economy, and build safer and more inclusive communities. We’ll stand for gender equality and diversity, move faster on the path of reconciliation, and we’ll keep fighting for a stronger and more prosperous Canada.
