John,
No one should face harassment in their workplace, especially not because of their racial or religious identity. But Lauren Boebert — the Colorado member of Congress who incited violence at the Capitol earlier this year in an attempt to overturn the results of the presidential election — has repeatedly made directed racist and islamophobic slurs to her co-worker, Rep. Ilhan Omar.
We cannot ignore these hateful attacks on Ilhan, the rest of the Squad, and others. We must fully reject the campaign of harassment and incitement of violence by Republicans.
Yesterday, Congresswomen Cori Bush and Ayanna Pressley introduced a resolution to remove Lauren Boebert from her committee assignments. Can you add your name to support this important resolution? House leadership needs to take action now.

Ilhan didn’t come to Congress to deal with the outrageous attacks from Lauren Boebert and other Republicans looking to stoke hatred and fear among their supporter base. She came to Congress to fight for the working people of her district — which she continues to do every single day. But since day one, Ilhan has faced relentless attacks by the right for her identity as a Black, Muslim woman.
We won’t stand for it. And neither will the 27 members of Congress who have already signed on as co-sponsors to the resolution introduced this week.
We need to send a clear message that we’re not backing down until Lauren Boebert and every Republican who has created a toxic workplace and incited violence and death threats against their co-workers is held fully accountable. Add your name to our petition calling on House leadership to remove Boebert from her committee assignments.
