Friend,
Last Wednesday, Stacey Abrams filed her Declaration of Intent to run for Governor! She and Senator Warnock will make a tremendous team to lead the ticket in Georgia next year. This means changes are happening at Fair Fight Action and Fair Fight.
First, we are thrilled to announce that Cianti Stewart-Reid, previously Managing Director, is now leading both Fair Fight and Fair Fight Action as Executive Director.
Most importantly, the work continues at Fair Fight Action. The nationwide assault on voting rights continues to drive our mission to advocate, organize, and litigate to protect the freedom to vote and mitigate voter suppression. We will continue to inspire Americans and move them to take action to strengthen our democracy. We will lift up the stories of the people most harmed by attacks on the freedom to vote, and fight so that their voices can be heard and their votes are counted.
Friend, we can’t do this without you. Will you donate to Fair Fight Action today to ensure that we can continue these efforts together?
In 2021, Fair Fight Action became an anchor for the voting rights community. Together, we were able to mobilize voters to contact their Congress members resulting in over 83,000 calls to Congress—and mitigate the harm of anti-voter legislation throughout the country.
As we head into 2022, we are preparing for a continuation of this year’s relentless attacks on the freedom to vote. In response, we will be:
-
Fighting back against anti-voting bills once state legislatures reconvene in January,
-
Continuing our national advocacy for federal legislation to protect the freedom to vote, and
-
Building voter protection capacity at the state and local level to be prepared for the midterm elections.
In this time of change for Fair Fight Action, we are renewed in our vision for free and fair elections where every eligible Americans’ voice can be counted and heard.
We ask for your support to continue our vital work in 2022 and beyond.
Thank you for being a relentless partner in this fight.
