Bowman for Congress

John,

On Tuesday, the House approved a $770 billion budget to the Pentagon with a vote of 363-70. I was one of the few progressive voices to vote NO. Unlike the Build Back Better Agenda vote, there was no CBO score needed, no concern about the deficit, and no mention of inflation.

John, our policy priorities are not where they need to be. We should be dedicating our time to addressing the many obstacles and issues millions of Americans face every day. That's why I am proud to be one of the leaders who are dedicated to holding the line in Congress and ensuring that our progressive vision is made clear.

If you stand with me in the fight to root our policy-making and legislation in compassion, care, and progress, please consider chipping into our movement today. Your support shows the establishment and many other conservative Democrats and Republicans that our progressive movement is ready to continue fighting for the resources and support we not only need but deserve.

It was simply astounding to see how quickly Congress was able to mobilize in support of our military industrial complex. But when it comes to the needs of the people and our calls for change, our progress is paralyzed and our representatives fail to ensure housing, care, justice for our veterans, investments in robust job programs, and more.

Enough is enough, John. We cannot afford to watch as our country's health care systems, infrastructure, and economy crumbles while predatory institutions like the prison and military complex become insurmountable. We need to continue challenging the status quo and reimagine our goals to support and uplift those who need it most — working families, people of color, immigrants, and single parents.

In Congress, I've remained dedicated to fighting for jobs and education, not bombs and incarceration. And I will continue to boldly fight to pass the Build Back Better Agenda and address key issues like climate change, paid family leave, child care, health care access, and much more.

It's going to take all of our effort to show our opposition that our grassroots movement and vision is here to stay and it's growing. If you're ready to help take our momentum to the next level, please make a donation to support this much needed work.
