Dear John,

We face a historic opportunity, and your voice is critical. WomenHeart has long fought for policies that support women’s heart health and would improve the lives of women living with and at risk of heart disease. Right now, the Senate is considering legislation that makes progress on several of our policy priorities.

Tell your Senators to pass this legislation today.

Recently passed by the House, the Build Back Better Act establishes a national paid family and medical leave program that provides four weeks of paid parental, family caregiving, and medical leave. Women who undergo heart surgery, are recovering, or who are treating their heart disease – and those who are caring for them – should be able to take time off work without sacrificing a paycheck.

The bill also includes maternal health provisions, many of which will have a direct impact on heart health and combat health inequities. In addition, policies to expand access to vaccines and to high quality, affordable health insurance are included.

Make your voice heard and tell your Senators ([link removed] to support the Build Back Better Act.

Together, we are saving lives!
