Biden and his Democrats have shown they do not value the oil and gas industry. He killed the Keystone XL pipeline and thousands of good-paying jobs, and banned new drilling on federal lands. Biden is doing everything he can to cease domestic oil production.




Texas continues to take a stand for our energy independence. I made Senate Bill 13 a high priority this session. It was passed into law. SB 13 says if a financial firm boycotts Texas fossil fuels, Texas will not do business with them. The message is simple: if Wall Street turns their back on Texas and our thriving oil and gas industry, then Texas will not do business with Wall Street.




Recently, Texas officials sent a letter threatening to pull funds from U.S. banks boycotting fossil fuel companies. We refuse to sit idly by as this radical administration continues to weaken our state and country's energy industry.




You and I know that a strong Texas and American energy industry gives us independence from foreign countries. Without the oil and gas industry, prices will soar, and thousands of Americans will lose their jobs.



In Texas, we value the oil and gas industry. We achieved energy independence under President Trump, but our energy industry is weakening under President Biden, even as the Russian energy industry is growing stronger.
