The Build Back Better bill — which we passed in the House in November, and now awaits a vote in the Senate — accomplishes a lot of good for the American people.

But there’s one issue that I want to highlight today that I’ve worked on and fought for my entire career: lowering the price of prescription drugs. One-third of American adults who need medication don’t take it because it’s too expensive. Passing Build Back Better will help us finally keep prices down and get people the care they need.

We need to ensure the Senate hears our voices. Add your name right now to encourage the immediate passage of the Build Back Better Act.

There are so many examples of Big Pharma hammering patients with never ending price increases and putting families in an impossible situation -- do they pay for the medication they can’t afford or go without the medication they know they need? In the Build Back Better Act, we work to address some of the most egregious abuses.

For example, once the act is signed into law, those who need insulin would pay no more than $35 per month out of pocket with their insurance. Right now, insulin can cost up to $1,000 per month. Big Pharma doesn’t care that this is a life-saving drug that has been used to treat diabetes for nearly 100 years because what they care most about is making money for their shareholders.

This is just one example, but we all know that this happens all the time with Big Pharma. It’s long overdue that we get real prescription drug reform across the finish line. I won’t stop fighting until we do.
