New Jack Miller Center Intro Video
What is the Real Story of America?
In this short video, Jack Miller talks about America's roots and why he believes the 'battle for the soul of our nation will be won or lost in our classrooms.'
Watch JMC's new introductory video, "What is the Real Story of America?" narrated by Jack Miller.
Why did Jack start the Jack Miller Center?
In 1956, Jack Miller began building an office supply business he called "Quill" with a phone and desk in the back of his dad's poultry shop. He grew Quill Corporation into one of the largest office supply products distributors in the nation.

After selling it in 1998, Jack said he wanted to give back to the country that had made his success possible.

Jack became concerned about the degradation of civic education and how that was affecting our country. He worried whether future generations would have the same opportunities to achieve their own dreams if we did not do more to educate coming generations of citizens.

In 2004, Jack built a team to tackle this problem right where we needed it most—in the classroom. The team began by offering resources and professional development programs for college educators. The demand grew rapidly, so he and his team launched the Jack Miller Center as a 501(c)(3) in 2007.

Now with hundreds of like-minded donors and a national network of over 1,000 college educators, we are creating change in civic education from K-12 through college.
Our 1,000+ professor partners are both teaching college students (over 1.3 million students to date) and are also the resource for teaching middle and high school teachers about our founding principles and history so that they can better teach their students.
One of our newest initiatives is a statewide program in Florida in cooperation with two other leading civics organizations to reach some 6,800 social studies teachers across the state. It has been such a success that next year we are going to introduce it into Texas, Wisconsin, and Virginia. And after that, we plan to expand into many more states around the nation.

All of our work is made possible only by the support of generous donors like you who are passionate about our young people learning about what our founders gave us and what has made America so great.

Will you help more teachers teach, and more students learn, about our nation's founding principles and history? Your gift, large or small, will make a difference in the minds and hearts of our nation's students.
