This is huge news. Black women have always fought to hold our government accountable to its promises and its potential, but a Black woman has NEVER been elected governor in this country before – and it’s time we change that. We’re thrilled that Stacey Abrams is running, but we must not place the burden of transforming politics on her shoulders alone. 

That’s why Emerge is committed to supporting women in the New American Majority (NAM) with the tools, strategies, and network they need to run for office, win, and rise to positions of higher power.
