This week’s Race + Power newsletter features economic strategies with a racial lens. We start with an analysis of race-conscious pricing structures as a response to the problem of wealth inequality along racial lines. Then, we affirm the need for transformation within the field of community development in order to extend opportunities to historically marginalized people. Next, we highlight an initiative to convert racial equity fund commitments into tangible investments that boost the capacity of Black-owned economic institutions. Finally, we look at coalition-building for social justice and the awakening of solidarity within Latinx communities.
