Jack — it’s not Mother’s Day, but with the holidays right around the corner, moms are at the top of our mind.

While we may be one of the richest countries in the world, we’re still a country where your health outcomes often depend on your ethnic background. Black, Brown, Indigenous, and Hispanic moms are all disproportionately more likely to suffer from pregnancy complications than white moms.

The Momnibus Act makes historic investments into the solutions that have been proven to curb the maternal health crisis. Will you sign on as a citizen co-sponsor of the Momnibus Act of 2021?

President Biden took a necessary step to protect military moms last week by signing the Protecting Moms Who Served Act into law, requiring the Department of Veterans Affairs to invest in quality maternal care for mothers across the country.

Now we have the chance to go even further with the Momnibus Act of 2021. This generational investment in mothers from all backgrounds will support community organizations that do the necessary work to keep moms alive and healthy, and grow and diversify the perinatal workforce — providing jobs and creating better health outcomes for moms and babies, as well as providing resources to continue to better understand — and ultimately end — the maternal health crisis.

Our future depends on how we act today. Will you step in and stand with us for moms?
