- The last time the federal minimum wage was raised was 2009, more than a decade ago, and it still sits at $7.25 per hour in many states including Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, Val fought to secure a $15 minimum wage for Montgomery county employees because she knows our working families deserve a living wage.

- Every day we see the impacts of the climate crisis, from severe storms to extreme temperatures, but we’ve yet to take the bold action necessary to reduce emissions so we can tackle climate change the way we should be. And Val has put her county on track to transition to 100% renewable energy, supported efforts to protect the Delaware River Basin from fracking, and preserved 10,000 acres of farmland. And she’s one of the only candidates in this race who wants to move to ban fracking.
