Every year, the Alabama State Department of Education teams up with Alabama Possible to host College Application Week—an opportunity for high school seniors in Alabama to apply to colleges and universities across the state for free!

College applications can get expensive—especially if you are applying to multiple schools. Alabama is home to many first-rate institutions of higher education and I want to encourage anyone who's thinking about going to college next year to take advantage of this opportunity to submit applications free of charge. 

While College Application Week provided waived application fees for select colleges, I also want to remind you that all Alabama community colleges are free to apply to all year. Earning a two-year degree or job training can also be a great step to advance your career and learn new skills. 

Below is a list of colleges and universities across Alabama that are participating in the free application week this year. The full list, and instructions for the application fee waiver, are available on my website here. If you know a friend or loved one who might benefit from this program, I encourage you to share this information with them.
