John -- Elaine Luria joined the Naval Academy when she was just 17 years old -- only 17 years after women were allowed to serve. She was one of the first women ever accepted into the Academy’s nuclear power program.
Elaine served in the Navy for two decades, and during her deployment to the Middle East she oversaw eight nuclear reactors and was responsible for training all 700 nuclear operators onboard.
During her time in the Navy, she made major strides for women in the Armed Forces and our National Security.
When she retired, she wanted to focus on being a mom and managing her small business, but she couldn’t shake the desire to do more for the country she had served for the past two decades.
That’s why Elaine ran for Congress, and since she’s been there, she’s done a hell of a job -- she was even ranked the second most effective member of the House!
We need to keep Elaine in Congress so she can keep fighting for legislation in line with our values. Will you chip in $25 or more today to give Elaine the resources she needs to defend her seat?
