Tuesday is Election Day!

govote.png

Even though it's "just" a local election year, you can still make a
difference in your area by finding candidates that reflect your
values. School board races are one important example. With some school
boards across the state considering policies that hurt kids, like
so-called "comprehensive" sex-ed, your vote on Tuesday could make a
BIG difference.

With this great resource

, you can even find out what the ballot will look like before you even
get to the polling place.

Here are steps for finding out which candidates are running in your
area:

1.

Click here to access the polling information
site: [link removed] .

2.

Enter your zip code and address.

3.

You'll see your polling place on the right. If you scroll
down, you'll see two options: "List of Candidates" and "Sample
Ballot."

4.

Click "List of Candidates" to see which candidates are running
in your area. For some candidates, there will be a website for
you to find more information.

5.

Click "Sample Ballot" to see what your ballot wil look like
when you get to the polling place.

6.

Vote! In-person absentee voting is an option in many areas
(check with local election authorities), or else vote on
Tuesday, November 5!

Recent research from the

New York Times has revealed that there are over 45 million videos and
images of child sexual abuse online. These numbers represent an
exponential increase from a decade ago. Even more sobering, behind
those numbers is the harrowing reality of millions of children who
have been exploited and abused, their lives upended, and their
innocence destroyed.

In light of this horrifying reality, will people wake up and replace
the sexualization of children with focused efforts to protect their
innocence?

A great starting point for Minnesota would be to stop the push for
radical Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE) in children's
classrooms.

There isn't one set definition for CSE, but in general,
CSE includes information and classroom discussion on gender identity,
sexual expression, sex practices, and abortion access. Examples of CSE
curriculum which have been proposed or adopted have included programs
that begin sex-ed in kindergarten, lessons designed for
middle-schoolers involving sexual role-playing, detailed descriptions
of sexual acts, and a book called

Upcoming Marriage Roundtable!

ForeverAdventure.png

Passionate about seeing marriages strengthened in your church and
among your friends?  Join other Marriage Champions by attending
an upcoming Marriage Roundtable to be encouraged and equipped.

Marriage Roundtables are small groups of Marriage Champions from
different churches.  They are a place for people to regularly
share what's happening with marriage ministry in their churches
and receive feedback on challenges, questions, or concerns
they're facing in their work to strengthen marriages.  If
you're involved with premarital education, mentoring,
couples' small groups, marriage classes, or other marriage
strengthening efforts, consider attending an upcoming Marriage
Roundtable of Marriage Champions at one of the following locations.

* Thursday, November 14: Grace Church, 9301 Eden Prairie Rd, Eden
Prairie, 11:30 am to 1 pm
* Thursday, December 5: Hope Lutheran Church, 5200 Emerson Ave N,
Minneapolis, noon to 1:30 pm
* Thursday, December 5: River Valley Church, 12345 Portland Ave S,
Burnsville, 11:30 am to 1 pm

If you'd like to attend, please RSVP to Tom
at [email protected] because space is limited.
Each Roundtable is limited to a dozen people to ensure everybody can
participate.  So, don't wait!  Let us know if
you'd like to attend an upcoming Marriage Roundtable.  For
questions or more information email Tom or call him at
612.600.3136.

The Marriage Roundtables are sponsored by Forever Adventure, a
nonprofit organization seeking to help spark a marriage movement by
raising up Marriage Champions in our churches and communities.
