We just won a huge victory for riders!

Last night, following a six-and-a-half hour long meeting and months of community and rider organizing, SFMTA approved a 2022 service plan that restores almost every pre-pandemic line, including the 8AX, 8BX, 21, 23, 28R, 31, 43 and J Church!

This past year, San Francisco Transit Riders has worked hard to build a coalition of students, parents, seniors, labor, and community activists calling for the restoration of pre-pandemic Muni service. Together, we gathered over 2,000 petition signatures, held multiple rallies in the Tenderloin and at City Hall, published op-eds and organized hundreds of public comments at SFMTA and the Board of Supervisors meetings. Many of these lines would not have been restored without the organizing and advocacy of SFTR and our partners.

We hope you'll join us to celebrate this win, and our other 2021 successes, this Friday, December 10, at our Red Carpet Party.  We’ll recognize our amazing volunteers, toast to our impact and hear from transit leaders Senator Scott Wiener and SFCTA Director Tilly Chang!
