The Senate has the fate of the U.S. Postal Service in its hands.

Friend,

Postmaster General Louis DeJoy has found a new way to destroy the post office: short mail carriers their paychecks.

An exposé by the Center for Public Integrity revealed that while many mail carriers are working overtime to help deliver during the holiday rush, carriers are reporting that the overtime isn't showing up in their checks -- and, in fact, thousands of managers have been caught illegally changing time cards under budget pressure from above. And the wage theft is pushing postal employees to quit, leaving the USPS more strapped.(1)

Our post offices can't afford to have DeJoy still in charge, and we need you to help us speak up. The Senate is considering two nominees to the governance board that oversees DeJoy, and Courage California has joined a coalition of organizations demanding that the Senate assure that the nominees will rein in DeJoy's destructive actions and strengthen the USPS.

Will you sign our petition calling on the Senate to save the U.S. Postal Service?

On-time mail delivery is critical to our communities.

For more than 200 years, the U.S. Postal Service has delivered essential goods to the farthest reaches of the country. Seniors depend on the delivery of their Social Security checks, and veterans receive their medications from the V.A. And we mail in millions of ballots to participate in elections.

DeJoy must go. We’re rallying grassroots pressure to make this a priority in the Senate. Will you join our cause?

Yours in the fight for our public services,

Irene, along with Amber, Angela, Annie, Caitlin, Jay, Lindsay, LisaMarie, Molly, Raquel, and Scottie (the Courage team)
