I’m facing a conundrum, John.

Our race is heating up in a major way, and we have some difficult decisions to make.

I’ve been on the top target list for the national Republican campaign arm for months now and they’ve already released multiple ads attacking my record spending hundreds of thousands of dollars.

My opponents have been busy, too.

Jim Bognet raised six figures in the first two weeks after announcing his candidacy, and Teddy Daniels is touting his support from Trump and his alignment with far-right conspiracy theorists and politicians with known ties with militia groups -- to the delight of the online far-right.

My team and I have been debating how to respond in the last month before we enter the election year. We’re split between using our resources to set the record straight with our own ads or holding back until the new year.
