John --
First, President Trump compared the lawful Congressional investigation of his misconduct to lynchings, as if they were not the most reprehensible act of savagery scarring the face of American history.
Then, the Mississippi GOP, including my far-right opponent, welcomed him with open arms to help him support their campaigns -- in the state with more deaths from lynching than any other under Jim Crow.
And now, a court has declined to block a Jim Crow constitutional provision designed to suppress the vote and prevent African Americans from holding a statewide seat.
We absolutely cannot let them win. It’s time to turn our get out the vote operation into overdrive and fight back even harder. Rush $10 or whatever you can to reach our $15,000 rapid response goal by the end of the weekend.
We have the chance to make history and make a difference in this election. I’m more than ready to fight for the civil rights and voting rights of all. But right now, I need everyone to fight with me. We need to reach every voter possible, get them out to vote, and send a message that Mississippi is no longer burning. We need record-breaking turnout. Please help me make sure that the voice -- the vote -- of each person decides who will be the state's chief legal officer.
It’s urgent that every single one of us does our part to make sure that we can reach every single voter in Mississippi. It takes $10 to reach three voters and make sure they know what’s at stake in this election.
Do your part and give $10 -- or whatever you can -- right away to reach our $15,000 GOTV weekend rapid response goal. Every single vote and every single donation matters.
