We're laser-focused on #FreeIDsForVets and want to address some common misconceptions when it comes to veterans and IDs.

Just yesterday, someone posted the following comment on social media:



Unfortunately, homeless veterans do not catch such a break. There are different veteran ID cards offered by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), all of which require the veteran to already have government-issued photo ID. 

And for those who are able to get a veteran ID card, it's not treated the same as a state- or federally-issued ID:



These types of policies are why we'll be spending 2022 lobbying states to provide free IDs for veterans. Your support is crucial in this fight.
