Delaware senators push hard for Build Back Better bill

"Senators Chris Coons and Tom Carper were among a group of Democratic U.S. Senators urging passage of the Build Back Better Act to deliver robust climate action."

-- Delaware Public Media

John,

Last month, we celebrated as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act was signed into law. But our work is not done yet. The Build Back Better Act recently passed the House, and now Chris is working to ensure it passes in the Senate.

We need the support of all our constituents at home -- and across the country -- if we want to make this bill a reality. Just last week, Chris and Senator Tom Carper led a press conference to discuss the benefits of the Build Back Better Act and highlight the need for robust climate action.

If passed, the climate portion of the bill will include $555 billion in investments to combat climate change by investing in jobs, green technology, and conservation efforts. The Build Back Better Act will also:

  • Provide universal preschool and childcare aid for working families;
  • Lower the cost of prescription drugs and save countless lives;
  • Extend federal paid family leave;
  • Support communities nationwide by providing better and more accessible civil infrastructure;
  • Expand the Child Tax Credit to give working families a much needed break;
  • Build more affordable housing units for low-income Americans;
  • And much more.
Every day, we get one step closer to passing the Build Back Better Act through the Senate, but we need your support to get this bill across the finish line.

Chris believes that change can happen when we all work together on solutions to the problems we're facing through bold and courageous action. Do you agree with Chris? Add you name to let him know today that you stand by President Biden's Build Back Better Act:

Thank you,

Team Coons
