Team,
Last week Donald Trump’s former chief of staff, Mark Meadows, said he was going to cooperate with the January 6th committee by handing over documents and agreeing to meet before the committee’s panel.
But in a sudden reversal this week, my former colleague, Meadows, has stopped cooperating.
What is Meadows hiding that he does not want the American people to know?
As part of the team of impeachment managers during Donald Trump’s Senate trial, we started the process to hold accountable those responsible for the attack on the Capitol, and despite Meadows’ reversal, I urge the committee to continue its work until the truth is uncovered.
I was not afraid to stand up to Trump and GOP extremism then, and I am not backing down now – but I need your help. Will you contribute $15 or more today and ensure Congress continues standing up to those who want to bury the truth?

Just a few weeks ago, the House voted to hold Steve Bannon in contempt of Congress for refusing to cooperate with the committee. Shortly thereafter a federal grand jury indicted Bannon, sending a clear message that there are consequences for denying a lawful subpoena.
Mark Meadows is destined to face the same fate if he continues to obstruct Congress.
Just like the January 6th committee, I am not afraid to stand up to insurrectionists who pose a serious threat to our democracy, and we can’t stop fighting until all those involved in this attack are held responsible.
Contribute now and let Trump supporters know we will not tolerate their defiance!
