John:
I am proud to share the exciting news that California has secured a major victory in our fight for gun safety.
Last week, a federal court reinstated our state’s ban on large-capacity magazines, like those used in assault weapons. At the same time, the Los Angeles city council voted to ban 3D printed weapons often called "ghost guns."
I’m proud to see California leading the way in our fight for commonsense gun safety measures, but too many states still allow both large-capacity magazines and ghost guns.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
Earlier this year, the Assault Weapons Ban was introduced into the House of Representatives. This measure moves to ban the sale, transfer, manufacture and importation of military-style assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines.

Congress must take action before the next tragic mass shooting. Assault weapons are weapons of war, and these weapons have no place in our communities. We can and should pass the Assault Weapons Ban.
If you agree, will you add your name to our petition to demand that Congress pass the Assault Weapons Ban? [[link removed]]

This is one small step we can take to prevent these weapons of war from falling into the wrong hands.
Thanks for your support.
