I wanted to make sure you saw this, friend.
Erik Oswald, a vice president and registered lobbyist for Exxon, was caught red-handed calling climate change not "catastrophic" or "inevitable":
"Is it catastrophic inevitable risk? Not in my mind."

While Big Oil and their lobbyists are going to keep spending millions to spread more propaganda just like this, in just a couple days I'll enter Washington state's fundraising freeze as we head towards the upcoming legislative session.
We need to be prepared to take on Big Oil's lies. So while we can't fundraise for months, I need to make sure my campaign is fully powered. Will you make a contribution of $10 right now, so we can hit our $50,000 Beat the Freeze goal together?

Big Oil has spent decades spending billions of dollars spreading anti-science propaganda to distract the public from the climate crisis. Through at least 2018, Exxon's explicit strategy was to fund climate denial campaigns. And even as their strategy has become more subtle, this leak proves that Exxon and Big Oil don't care about the science. They just care about the money.
And when it comes to money, they have a lot of it. But as the American people increasingly feel the impact of the climate crisis in our own backyards, we are going to keep passing legislation and building this movement for bold climate action -- and we are going to win.
But to succeed and continue my work to end the climate crisis -- here in Washington state and across the globe -- I need your help to hit this $50,000 Beat the Freeze goal before Friday at midnight. Chip in $10 right now, and let's get this done.
Very truly yours,
Jay
