Lucky for me (more importantly, lucky for Florida’s 15th District, and democracy for that matter), we’ve raised about 500 bucks towards our mid-month $2,000 goal! Will you make a donation now to help us keep pace with our insurrectionist opponent, and get me off the phones?

Hey John —

One of the really unsexy things about running for Congress is ... *dun* *dun* *dunnn* … call time.

As you may know, all campaigns rely on a combination of grassroots support (that’s you!) and “call time,” which is where a candidate calls through a list of reliable Democratic donors and asks them to contribute. And those two things make up the bulk of our fundraising sources, since Eddie won’t accept a dime of the corporate PAC money that is the bread and butter of our corrupt opponent.

Unfortunately, fundraising has been tough the last few weeks, and we’re hitting a wall financially. Which means we have to force poor Eddie to spend endless hours locked in a windowless room with only a landline, a list of phone numbers, and fundraising goals that he must hit before we let him out.

What Eddie wants, more than anything, is to spend more time with people out in the community (safely and with proper COVID-19 protocols!). But we also absolutely have to raise cash to be able to take on Scott Franklin’s dark money machine and flip this seat for Democrats.

And that’s where you come in—will you chip in to help Eddie spend less time dialing for dollars and more time out in the community? We need to raise $2,000 from grassroots donations by the middle of the month to keep pace with our opponent, and any amount goes a long way!
