Team, George Orwell’s "1984" wasn’t an instruction manual.

And yet, nearly half of adult Americans are currently in a law enforcement facial recognition database.

Facial recognition technology is fundamentally biased, and misidentifies women and people of color at disproportionately higher rates.

Such flawed and discriminatory technology has no place in our society, and certainly not in our criminal legal system. We need your support today to help prevent the use facial recognition in our communities.

Add your name right now If you agree that we must reject the use of invasive, unreliable facial recognition technology by police departments, ICE, the FBI and other law enforcement.

Residents of our communities shouldn’t be under constant threat of being monitored by the government. It’s unconstitutional, and only worsens existing disparities in our criminal injustice system.

That’s why I recently co-introduced a piece of legislation to ban all facial recognition surveillance in public housing. Vulnerable communities are already being over-policed, profiled, and punished, and facial recognition technology will only make it worse.

Together we have to fight back to end the use of this biased technology. Please add your name to join me in demanding that we end facial recognition surveillance.

Thank you for joining me in working for justice.
