When I served as the first woman elected to be the Mayor of Irving, TX, I fought against an Islamic Tribunal panel that said they would use Sharia Law to settle cases. The imams claimed they were lawyers and judges - which they weren’t. I stood my ground against the use of Sharia Law in America because it shreds basic Constitutional rights and liberties. Ever since, the liberal national media has hated me. Unfortunately, this is nothing new and it won’t stop. It will only get worse. I stand for the rule of AMERICAN law and the fundamental AMERICAN principles of freedom and personal liberty for all.
