John, like you, I’m deeply saddened and worried by the fact that Philadelphia has experienced a record number of homicides this year.

It’s time to take real action to keep Philadelphians safe.

John, I want to know your thoughts about what actions you’d like to see taken to improve public safety in Philadelphia — please share your feedback here by taking my public safety survey:

Gun-related deaths have become far too common in Philadelphia, and we must take more action at the local level to keep guns out of our communities. Additionally, we must address the shortage of police officers in our city while also giving our officers the tools and resources they need to police without bias.

On Council, we have begun working to use new funds in our budget to provide grants to neighborhood-based organizations working on the ground in our communities to prevent gun violence — but it’s clear that more must be done.

Your feedback is valuable in ensuring that we make Philadelphia a safer city for all. Take my survey today to share your thoughts about what more can be done to reduce crime and violence in our city:

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. I will follow up with you all regarding the results in the coming weeks.
