I was so proud to vote with my Democratic colleagues in the House last month to pass the historic Build Back Better Act.

This legislation lowers costs for the American people on child care, elder care, prescription drugs and health care; invests in housing that is affordable; fights child poverty; and combats climate change. Today, I want to tell you more about what it does specifically for children and families with children. Built Back Better will:

• Cut child care costs in half for millions of Americans.
• Deliver two years of free pre-school for every three- and four-year-old in America.
• Provide 35 million families with a major tax cut by expanding the Child Tax Credit.

I am so honored to have fought for these measures, which will transform our broken child care system and be monumental for families in California and across the country. As we look ahead to the 2022 midterm elections, I hope I can count on you to stand with me so I can stay in office and continue this vital work.
