IMPORTANT UPDATE: Banning Conversion Therapy

Our Liberal government’s legislation to ban the discredited and cruel practice known as conversion ‘therapy’ was passed unanimously in the House of Commons.

All Canadians should be able to live a true and authentic life, free from violence and discrimination, no matter who they are or who they love. Justin Trudeau and our Liberal government will continue taking strong action to protect members of the LGBTQ2 community, and build a more inclusive Canada.

Growing our Economy with Good, New Jobs

154,000 new jobs were created in November, and it’s all thanks to the hard work of Canadians.

No Canadian should be left behind – that’s why Justin Trudeau and our Liberal government are introducing new legislation to support the workers and businesses hardest-hit by the pandemic.

So far, over 1 million jobs have been recovered and the unemployment rate is the lowest it’s been since the start of the pandemic. There’s more work to do, and our Liberal government will continue to have your back as we grow a more resilient economy.

10 paid days of sick leave


Canadians shouldn’t have to choose between staying home when they’re sick and feeding their families.

That’s why Justin Trudeau and our Liberal government have introduced legislation to support all federally regulated workers with 10 paid days of sick leave.

Affordable child care


Our Liberal government has signed nine agreements for $10 a day child care and more affordable child care spaces from coast to coast to coast – with provinces and territories that already include over 60% of children across Canada.
