John, Today, the Minnesota Department of Management and Budget announced our state has a historic budget surplus of $7.7 billion.

John,

Today, the Minnesota Department of Management and Budget announced our state has a historic budget surplus of $7.7 billion.

Despite all the unprecedented challenges we’ve faced over the past two years, the numbers are clear: Minnesota’s economy is strong and growing.

This surplus puts us in the strongest position in state history to lower costs for Minnesotans’ everyday expenses, invest in the middle class, and provide relief to those still recovering from the pandemic.

Lt. Governor Flanagan and I are committed to seizing this opportunity to expand economic opportunity for all Minnesotans and move our state forward in meaningful and lasting ways. But we can’t do it alone.

The same Republicans who, when COVID-19 first hit, tried to sell us the false bill of goods that we would have to choose between saving lives and protecting our economy are trying to take us backward.

John, we can’t let that happen. If you can, help us protect this once-in-a-generation opportunity to invest in Minnesota families. Stand with Lt. Governor Flanagan and me and pitch in $10, $25, $50, or whatever works best for you today.
