I have always been a strong supporter of paid leave for all. But, before I go into detail about why, I need to ask: Can you chip in to help my campaign bring paid leave to Louisville and across the country?

A question too many parents have to face when planning for children is how they’re going to afford child care. My wife Chris and I had to ask ourselves the same question when we had our kids.

Most days, we were fortunate enough to work out a plan that took care of the kids. But, there were some days that I had to bring Greta along with me to work. As cute as it was to have my sidekick there, it couldn’t happen all the time and most people aren’t permitted to bring their kids into work with them.

Some parents have no other choice but to take sick days to care for their kids and some even have to quit their jobs outright due to lack of paid leave. Parents shouldn’t have to choose between earning income or taking care of their children.

One of the top issues that I’ll be fighting for in Congress is passing paid leave for every person in Louisville and across the country. It’s past time that we get this done and I need your help to make it happen.
