147 members of Congress voted to overturn the 2020 election.
146 remained.
Today, they’re down to 145.

It’s not even 2022, but The 147 have already suffered their first loss of the cycle, friend. The infamous Devin Nunes has resigned, triggering a special election and our first opportunity to win back a seat next year.

Nunes has gifted us an unexpected opportunity to seize back the midterm momentum. We have to defend the house to defend our democracy. Donate to our Congressional Victory Fund now.

Nunes’ resignation is being dismissed as a cynical move to avoid having to run for reelection in a district expected to be redrawn to favor Democrats. But that’s generous. With a $26.8 million war chest and the opportunity to jump to a new Republican-friendly district, Nunes had options. He also might have been in line to chair the powerful Ways and Means Committee, but Nunes has chosen to run Trump’s fledgling media empire instead.

Nunes’ resignation signals that in today’s Republicans the nexus of political power isn’t found in the halls of Congress or the White House. It resides exclusively in Trump’s hands and he divvies it up to his most loyal propagandists. Trump’s orbit is apparently so powerful that Nunes chose to work for his new media company despite the fact that it’s currently under investigation by the SEC. But that’ll all go away once Republicans are back in control, right?

Not if we have anything to say about it. The rule of law, accountability, and the truth itself are all on the ballot in 2022. Donate now and join the fight to defend our Constitution.

If Nunes is going to hand us an opportunity to start 2022 off with a win, we're going to take it.
