Growing up, I was the skinny kid with Coke-bottle glasses and a funny last name. For years, I was a geologist. Then, I got laid off and opened a brewpub in downtown Denver. I play the banjo. And I like to make corny jokes (personally, I think they’re hilarious).

I think it’s pretty fair to say that I’m not your typical politician, folks. I ran for office because I was sick and tired of special interests taking advantage of everyday Americans, so I decided to do something about it.

When I launched my campaign for Senate over two years ago, I promised to build a movement by and for the people of Colorado. So, we refused donations from corporate PACs (we still do!) and instead of relying on wealthy billionaires to fund our campaign, we have relied on hard-working folks like you to power our work.

Together, we overcame the GOP’s rolodex of megadonors and flipped this seat blue — and the entire Senate with it! And from expanding the Child Tax Credit to passing the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, the largest federal climate legislation to date, our Democratic majority is making significant progress for working people.

But if we plan to protect our fragile Senate majority from right-wing special interests and build on this progress, we’re going to need to meet this moment with the same energy that led us to victory in 2020, so I’m personally asking:

Will you make a donation of anything you can afford to support our campaign? The only way we’ll keep the Senate majority out of the grasp of Mitch McConnell’s megadonors is with your grassroots support:

I appreciate you being part of this team, and anything you pitch in today will go a long way.

Thanks for everything!
