Just days after the deadly school shooting in Michigan, Republican Congressman Thomas Massie posted this photo on Twitter:

Anyone who has served in a combat zone knows that firearms are dangerous weapons. These aren’t toys, and they certainly aren’t political props for you to “own the libs” on Twitter.

The gun Massie is carrying in this photo is an M60 Machine gun, also known as “the Pig.” It’s an incredibly dangerous weapon that can unload a ton of ammunition. In the hands of the wrong person we would be facing an absolute catastrophe.

But this is just one more example of the kind of Second Amendment extremism that has come to define today's GOP.

They will never act on reasonable gun safety laws, so we have to kick them out of Congress.
