Team, I wanted to make sure you saw this:

The Pennsylvania GOP has proven time and time again that they would rather waste time and taxpayer dollars than listen to our community. 

Their latest attempt at politicizing our schools in the name of "transparency" is a deliberate choice to neglect the needs of our state.

Students and teachers have told us they need our help with real problems, like inadequate resources and rising public health concerns. But Republicans are once again playing politics instead of taking action. 

Friend, Pennsylvanians deserve better. We need real accountability and transparency in our government.

This year, my colleagues and I presented 14 non-partisan Senate Rule Amendments to Senate Republicans. We asked them to join us in making a real commitment to accountability and transparency by passing our proposed measures, all of which would improve the quality of representation, accessibility, and transparency of the Senate for all Pennsylvanians and instill more confidence in our government. 

But rather than working with us to pass this much-needed legislation or helping students in the ways they actually need, Republicans are instead focused on creating a false narrative about our schools and using our teachers as their scapegoats. That's why I'm asking for your help today – it's time to do better. 

Next year’s election will be crucial to keep up the fight for public edcation and real transparency in our government. Can you chip in $20, or whatever you can, to fight against the Pennsylvania GOP’s agenda?

Folks, we don't need pseudo-transparency bills. The working families of Pennsylvania need to have their voices heard. And you deserve elected officials who will listen.
