Dear John,

The House-enacted Build Back Better Act represents the biggest expansion of the social safety net for older Americans and their families in five decades. It expands Medicare benefits, lowers prescription drug prices and adds billions of new dollars for seniors to receive long-term care in their homes and communities — improvements supported by majorities of Americans across party lines.

This legislation is now under negotiation in the Senate where we expect Senators Joe Manchin (WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (AZ) to play major roles in determining what measures end up in the final bill.

That’s why we need your help to make sure critical provisions that include lowering prescription drug costs and expanding Medicare to cover hearing aids and examinations remain intact in the final bill passed by the Senate. Please support our urgent fight by making a donation of $10 or $5 today.

Here are some of the major benefits of the Build Back Better plan that we’re fighting to keep:

  • Expansion of Medicare coverage to include basic hearing care
  • $150 billion in new funding for Home and Community-based Services (HCBS)
  • Medicare drug price negotiation for a select group of medications
  • Caps on drug prices linked to inflation

In addition to keeping our members and supporters fully engaged in this historic battle, we are working around the clock to meet with members of Congress and their staff, scheduling appearances in numerous media outlets and rallying more Americans like you to join this fight!

So please, help us wage a winning battle to ensure our priorities for older Americans like you are included in the Build Back Better Act passed by the Senate by chipping in a gift in whatever amount you can afford today!

Sincerely,

Max Richtman
President & CEO
