Folks,

You’ve heard lots from me about the big legislative packages I’ve been working on, like the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the Build Back Better Act — bills that will make a difference in the lives of all Americans.

I’ve also been hard at work on a bill especially for Montanans — that would create jobs, protect thousands of acres of public land, and ensure future generations can enjoy the recreational opportunities offered in the Blackfoot River watershed.

The Blackfoot-Clearwater Stewardship Act is the result of decades of collaboration among the folks who live, play, and work on the Blackfoot River watershed, and it’s a shining example of what can happen when Montanans work together.

It’s the kind of legislation that I’ve been determined to pass ever since I was elected to the Senate, and I’m so glad to see the bill make its way toward delivering results for Montanans.

But the legislative process is a long and windy path — so my colleagues need to know that folks like you want the Senate to pass the Blackfoot-Clearwater Stewardship Act , so that public lands remain in public hands.
