If you asked me for the one word I’d use to describe my friend, Kirsten Gillibrand, I’d say: Fearless .
I’ve known Kirsten since we were in college. We were roommates during a summer study abroad program in China, and even then, she was a larger-than-life figure—a natural leader with a strong sense of purpose and a thirst for adventure.

I’m deeply grateful for our enduring friendship (and for the fact that our eighties hairstyles didn’t last!). Moreover, though, I’m grateful for the person I’ve watched her become: Someone who takes on the toughest fights, someone who leads with integrity, and someone with a deep sense of compassion and justice.
And now her birthday is just around the corner! To make it really special her team is putting together a card for friends and supporters to sign— would you add your name? [[link removed]]

Whether it’s her deep commitment to reproductive freedoms; to fighting for paid family leave; to making sure our children have access to clean air, clean water, and a healthy planet; there’s no one else I’d rather be in a foxhole with than Kirsten. And I’d bet you feel the same way.

So we’ve got two days left before her birthday. Let’s make sure as many grassroots supporters as possible add their names to Kirsten’s card. Will you add your name now? [[link removed]]
Thank you for taking part in this—I know Kirsten will be so, so grateful.
-Connie
