Cheri is a proven leader who has worked to make the judicial system more fair and transparent, and she implemented paid family leave as Chief Justice of North Carolina’s Supreme Court. She also has an unmatched electoral record: she is the only candidate in this race—Republican or Democrat—to have ever won statewide twice. I know she is our best hope to flip North Carolina.

Winning this seat would be transformative for what we’re able to accomplish for our families in the Senate. Together, we can end the filibuster and pass popular legislation on affordable health care, paid family leave, climate change, voting rights, and more.

And the truth is, if we want to effect real, lasting change, we need to take a hard look at who is at the decision-making table in Washington—and whose voices are missing.

Only two Black women have ever served in the U.S. Senate, and there are none in the Senate today.

But we can change that next year by electing Cheri Beasley, and when we do, we can count on her to be a voice for the people.
