Hundreds of voter suppression bills have been introduced across 19 states and 33 of these laws have been enacted. At the same time, Republicans are using the redistricting process to gerrymander maps for their political advantage so they can choose their voters rather than the other way around.

These are attacks on free and fair elections and our democratic values.

I’m working with Democrats to protect voting rights, but Republicans are using the filibuster to stop us from even bringing up the issue for debate.

That’s why I believe it’s time to reform the filibuster to make way for voting rights legislation so we can protect our democracy.
