What is an FEC fundraising deadline and why is it so urgent?

Why is it so important you make a contribution before it ends?

You deserve an explanation:

At the end of every three months, we’re required by the Federal Election Commission (that’s the FEC) to report how much money we’ve raised in total, and in small-dollar donations.

Everyone is watching. The press, the opponents and our allies. It’s a critical measure of the strength of our campaign.

So we want A LOT of donations this month. Because it’s now just how much money we raise, but how many donations we receive that demonstrates our strength.

And what you may not know is that most of our donations come in response to emails like this. So that’s why we ask:
