Hi John, I wanted to reach out to let you know about some of the recent developments in the race.

While Matt was busy in Congress working to pass the bipartisan infrastructure bill that would create good-paying jobs and position our community for strong economic growth, the GOP has been preparing for a nasty 2022 race to flip Matt’s seat.

Not only have two far-right extremists announced their candidacy, but the GOP machine is poised to spend millions of dollars from dark money funders trying to flip this seat red. They know that it will only take flipping a few seats to take back the House, and Matt is at the top of their attack list.

Thanks to Matt’s hard work, Northeastern Pennsylvania is working without a proposed Scranton-to-NYC line, which will generate $87 million per year in economic activity in our district.

What have our opponents done?

Spent time on Twitter spreading conspiracy theories and twisting Matt’s record.

We can’t let someone like that represent our community, and we can’t let Republicans’ dark money donors buy back the House to stop the progress we’ve made for working families. That’s why I’m emailing. I know you’re as concerned about the 2022 midterms as I am. We can’t let the GOP flip the House, and keeping Matt’s seat is precisely how we do that.
