As proud as I was to pass the Build Back Better Act in the House, I knew that our fight was far from over. Democrats made a promise to the millions of immigrants living in this country and I’m going to make sure we deliver.

In November, I led the call along with my progressive House colleagues to urge Senate Democrats to reinstate a pathway to citizenship for the Dreamers, TPS holders, farmworkers, and essential workers who keep our country running.

The Build Back Better Act we passed through the House includes urgently needed relief for undocumented immigrants. But it still has a long way to go before it ends up on President Biden's desk. We must keep the pressure on the Senate to keep these provisions in the bill -- and do more by offering a pathway to citizenship to every immigrant who calls this country home.
